Sienna and Shimmy at Sanctuary Cove

Hi from Annette, I’ll be updating you while Derek is preoccupied with our current projects.

Hooray, hooray, our first solar electric Sienna is now underway and will be unveiled at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show in May – just seven weeks away! We’re also building a smart little Shimmy 12 sailing dinghy for a Melbourne customer, Bob G. and she’ll be at the show too. Sail or solar/electric – they’re both as green as you could wish for.

Are we busy? Yes, but loving it – we are so pleased that Chris Baker of The Torqeedo Shop in Sydney has chosen the Sienna – we believe that the Sienna/Torqeedo/Solar Panel set up is the perfect green set up for cruising the waterways . . . . . of course our first love is sail but for eco tours and family/corporate/event hire boats, the Sienna SE offers quiet comfort and an efficient motor.

Sienna’s new home will be on Pittwater at the Princes St Marina, Newport and her trip home from Sanctuary Cove via Noosa Heads promises to be worth following. Chris has set up a new category on his website – solar boat project – so be sure to check it out and we’ll be updating you too.
